Duke Street Photography

To follow through with my idea of urban culture, i visited Duke Street in Liverpool city centre and captured a selection of photographs of buildings, street signs and billboards. I  plan to combine these with Chuck Close style images to create a Rauchenburg effect for my final piece.

Anne-Laure Djaballah

I’m very interested in Anne-Laure Djaballah’s works as I’m exploring a buildings and an urban lifestyle which seems to relate to her work. I love her use of different materials to create an abstract college of such things as buildings and windows. I hope be able to create a similar effect for my final piece.

Lines of various sorts wander through the paintings and then the larger space, tracing a path that never finds a place to settle. ’

By using photoshop, used the adjustment layer to edit the opacity of the photograph which I had taken of a doorway in Liverpool.
